Privacy policy

Last updated [DATE]

Draft — not yet reviewed. This page is a working skeleton with the sections a South African and EU-facing site needs. Have it reviewed by an attorney before launch, and replace every bracketed placeholder.

This policy explains what personal information Tizaa Media (Pty) Ltd collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website and our client work.

Who we are

Tizaa Media (Pty) Ltd, registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER], of [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Our Information Officer is [NAME], reachable at [PRIVACY@TIZAAMEDIA.CO.ZA].

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you submit: name, company, email, budget range and message.
  • Consent evidence: the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, the page you submitted from, your browser user agent, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store your IP address in readable form.
  • Analytics data, but only if you accept analytics cookies. Nothing non-essential loads before you choose.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and, where you have consented, to send you information about our services. For visitors in the EU and UK our lawful basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; for South African visitors we rely on your consent under section 69 of POPIA.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for [RETENTION PERIOD]. Consent records are kept for as long as we hold your details plus [PERIOD], because we must be able to show the basis on which we contacted you.

Who we share it with

  • [HOSTING PROVIDER] — website hosting
  • [DATABASE PROVIDER] — enquiry storage
  • [EMAIL PROVIDER] — enquiry notifications
  • [ANALYTICS PROVIDER] — only with your consent

Some of these process data outside South Africa. Where that happens we rely on [TRANSFER MECHANISM].

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing [PRIVACY@TIZAAMEDIA.CO.ZA]. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened lawfully.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU or UK.
